Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
Yes, there really is going to be an beautiful comet / emissary from the Oort Cloud named Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS (C/2023 A3), and we’ll be able to witness it from sunset to sunrise each night, with the brightest night occurring on Saturday the 13th. You may even be able to capture it with your smartphones.

POLITICS
This is an election year. Absolutely no political signage or campaigning of any kind is allowed. Discussions around your personal campfire and caravans are of course completely acceptable, but there is no election on The Moon.
What Should I Bring?
This is dry camping. There are no hook-up of any kind. Bring food, shelter, water and power for 4 days and 4 nights. Warm clothes for the cool nights. Sunscreen for the warm days. Other than bathrooms you should be completely self-sufficient.
FOOD
In addition to all kinds of fun food programming from the likes of A Buslife Kitchen and others, there will be food trucks and a meal ticket you can buy. More on this soon.
What Shouldn’t I bring?
Weapons, anything illegal, and/or a bad attitude. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave, at anytime.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
We encourage radical participation on the part of attendees: share your art, host a workshop, offer a happy hour, and get weird/creative/expressive. If you have some interactivity you would like listed on the schedule, let us know.
MEDIA
Are you a reporter, photographer, influencer, YouTuber, etc. and want to attend potentially for free. Then fill out this application.
COVID-19
The event is held on 500 acres of undeveloped land surrounded by thousands of acres of National Monument and Tł'ohchiní tribal lands. Practice the level of social distancing you feel comfortable with. Wash your hands. Get vaccinated / boosted. Please respect all local and tribal regulations.
Are there a limited number of tickets?
Yes. And they are per person, not per vehicle. Kids under 18 get in free.
Can I get a refund?
All Ticket Sales Are Final. No Refunds.
Is Moonlanding Open to All Vehicles & TENT CAMPING?
Yes, including RVs, trucks, motorcycles, and tent campers. The Mesa and the Moon does not discriminate. There are tickets for people staying in vehicles, and tickets for tent campers who will have a dedicated tent camping area.
DO I NEED 4wD?
No, the road into Sky View is graded, and the event grounds are hard packed and/or bedrock.
Can I come and go? Arrive late, leave early?
Early arrival is Thursday, October 10th at 3 pm, and you are free to come and go, including leaving early, whenever you would like.
Can I bring my pet?
Absolutely, but your pet’s behavior including cleaning up any messes is 100% your responsibility. Do not put their poop in the portos.
Dogs must remain leashed at all times while in camp.
There are 500 acres for your dogs to roam and run free, and we encourage dog owners to coordinate off leash play time away from center camp and other campers.
Bikes / E-Bikes / Trail Bikes?
Yes, bikes, e-bikes, and little motos like Trail 50’s are a great way to get around and explore The Mesa. Keep it below 10 MPH around the camping areas when off the main roads.
Are there toilets?
Yes, there will be banks of portos positioned at each camping area. Don’t put anything other than poop and toilet paper in the toilets. The toilets will be cleaned at regular intervals.
What about fires?
Absolutely no fires outside of above ground fire pits, propane fire pits, and cooking stoves.
There are two large fire pits in Center Camp that can be used with permission from the Fire Marshall which will be determined day by day during the event.
MUSIC / SOUND / NOISE / GENERATORS
Attendees wanting a quiet(er) area away from the music should camp in Mare Tranquillitatis.
Quiet(er) hours (music less than 80db) are:
Thursday: Midnight - 8am Fri.
Friday: Midnight - 8am Sat.
Saturday: 2am - 10am Sun.
Sunday: Midnight - 8am Mon.
Generator Hours are Noon to 2pm, Daily.
LEAVE NO TRACE?
This is beyond a leave no trace event, but a “leave it better than you found it” event. Pack out everything that you pack in, and if you see garbage or anything else lying around, pick it up.
There will be a large garbage trailer at the entrance to the event for you to dispose of your garbage.

All communication is confidential and between you, The Journal of Lost Time senior staff, and any outside counsel and/or professional advisors who may need to assist.
We reserve the right to ban and/or remove anyone, at any time, for any reason to protect the safety, security, and sense of well-being at our events.
